Christian Hohn was born and raised in Germany and moved to Paris at the age of 20, where he studied simultaneously at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional. He entrusts his vocal training to Neil Semer, after studying with Valérie Millot and Cécile De Boever (at the Pôle Lyrique d'Excellence in Lyon). On the occasion of several master classes in Germany, Austria, France and Italy, he had the privilege of learning from artists such as Antoine Palloc, Nicolas Courjal, Emmanuel Olivier, Ylva Kihlberg, Jorge Balça and Margaret Singer. In 2022 he joined the Studio Lyrique du Palais des Beaux-Arts of Charleroi.
In 2018, he played the role of Figaro in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at the Château de Courson. At the Festival de Bazoches he sang in concert with conductor Alexandra Cravero, and played the role of Dulcamara in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore. One year later he was Colline in Puccini's La Bohème in the renowned Amphithéâtre 3000 in Lyon, with the Orchestre Symphonique Confluences. Christian played the male lead role in Menotti's Maria Golovin at the Théâtre de Sèvres. At the end of 2019 he took on the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Théâtre de Valence for the first time, a part which he played again in the same production in other French cities in 2021 and 2023. In 2022 he played the role of Fiorello in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Charleroi. The same year, he took part in the premiere of Mozart ou L’École des muses at the Théâtre Municipal de Châteaudun, a piece where he takes on five great Mozart-roles at once: Don Giovanni, Figaro, Count Almaviva, Guglielmo und Papageno.
In partnership with Katia Weimann, he regularly performs the French-German recital Träume | Rêves in France and Belgium.
